Dear Bethany Families and Community Members,
Welcome, and thank you for taking the time to learn more about our wonderful campus. I am proud to share that I am a product of Plano ISD, having attended schools in the district from kindergarten through twelfth grade. I was fortunate to learn from outstanding Plano educators and community members who inspired my own journey in education.
After graduating from college in 1994, I returned to Plano and began my career as a fifth-grade teacher. One of the greatest blessings of working in Plano ISD is the diversity it offers to both families and staff. Throughout my time in the district, I have had the privilege of serving as a teacher at Weatherford Elementary, Carlisle Elementary, and Barron Elementary. At the start of the 1998–1999 school year, I was given the opportunity to serve as an assistant principal at Miller Elementary. In January 2000, I was appointed principal of Dooley Elementary. Since then, I have been fortunate to work with incredible students, families, and staff at both Dooley and Meadows Elementary. Today, I am proud to be part of the Bethany Elementary family.
Bethany has a strong history of meeting the needs of all learners. Our students are supported by a dedicated and active PTA, with parents who generously share their time and talents to support student learning. We are also fortunate to have an exceptional team of teachers who are deeply committed to student success. Most importantly, our students come to school eager to learn and actively engage in their own growth. Together, parents, teachers, community members, and students work collaboratively to ensure every child has the opportunity to excel academically, socially, and emotionally.
Sincerely,
Bryan Bird
